I really hope that this deal was worth losing so many fans and customers over. I've never purchased a game that signed a deal with Epic and I'm not sure whether that is going to change for Darkest Dungeon 2. I was a huge fan of the first game, but I'll probably pick the second one up at a very steep discount a few years down the line or maybe I'll pass on it entirely. Exclusivity has no place in the PC market and unfortunately Epic's bad behaviour doesn't even end there and there are just too many things to dislike about them. PS: the relationship mechanic is garbage and ruins all the fun. On the other hand DD2 as a rogue like - slay the spire style game it stands somewhere around 5-6 out of 10 in it's current state and has the potential to be a 8-9 when released. There's so many things to dislike about them and Epic's behaviour is simply appalling. So for me darkest dungeon 2 as a 'darkest dungeon-like-game' scores 0 out of 10. It's a real shame that so many companies take Epic's bribe at the cost of their own customers.Įpic is such a shameful company that I'm unwilling to support in any way. I can't support titles and developers that sign deals with the EGS and that sentiment is usually shared by most consumers on the PC market. Maybe I'll consider purchasing it at a steep discount or maybe I'll pass on it entirely. I honestly wasn't expecting an EGS deal from this studio and I'm extremely disappointed.
